First, I love the angle at which this was shot. The perspective is so much more intriguing than if it had been shot straight on.
I also appreciate and admire that this was shot (or at least processed) in black and white. For me editorial photos pack more punch that way.
I'm curious if a fish-eye or wide-angle lens was used because there is a minor amount of warping around the edges of the shot. Not enough to distract from it and probably only another shutterbug would even notice...
While I really like this shot, the composition has a few quirks that I find myself thinking hard about. If I had done this shot, I would have had the subject more upright. Because of the way it was composed, his leaning to the left is almost making me dizzy.
Also, and this is more my aesthetic preference than anything, but I think I would have cropped the head from the right side of the photo. It seems very out of place, even when compared to the one on the left.
As a whole, though, I think you have a great piece and a good eye. It also looks like the day cooperated with a nice soft cloud cover to get some decent defused light.
